Samkvidro is committed to maintaining the highest standards of academic integrity, originality, and responsible scholarly conduct.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that submitted manuscripts constitute original scholarly work, have not been previously published, and are not under consideration for publication elsewhere. Authors must appropriately acknowledge and cite all sources, quotations, ideas, data, translations, and other materials derived from the work of others.

Plagiarism

Samkvidro considers plagiarism to include the presentation of another person’s words, ideas, data, arguments, research findings, or other intellectual work as one’s own without appropriate acknowledgement.

Plagiarism is not acceptable in any form, including substantial verbatim copying without citation, inadequate attribution of sources, appropriation of another author’s ideas or research findings, and other forms of presenting previously published or unpublished material as original work.

Other Forms of Academic Misconduct

The journal also prohibits other forms of academic misconduct, including:

• fabrication of data, sources, findings, or other research materials;
• falsification or manipulation of data, sources, findings, images, or research processes;
• duplicate or redundant publication;
• inappropriate or misleading attribution of authorship;
• substantial unattributed reuse of an author’s own previously published material;
• manipulation or misuse of the peer-review process; and
• deliberate misrepresentation of sources or research findings.

Originality and Plagiarism Checks

All submitted manuscripts may be subject to plagiarism and originality checks as part of the editorial assessment and peer-review process.

The use of plagiarism-detection or similarity-checking software may assist the editorial team in identifying potentially problematic passages. A similarity report is not, by itself, evidence of plagiarism; each case is assessed in its scholarly and contextual circumstances.

The journal may request clarification, additional documentation, or revisions where concerns regarding originality or attribution arise.

Suspected Misconduct

If plagiarism or other forms of academic misconduct are suspected, Samkvidro will assess the matter in accordance with its Publication Ethics Policy and established principles of fair and responsible scholarly publishing.

Depending on the circumstances and the stage at which the concern is identified, possible actions may include:

• rejection of the submitted manuscript;
• suspension of the editorial process pending investigation;
• correction of the published article;
• retraction of a published article;
• notification of the relevant institution or other appropriate body; or
• other measures necessary to protect the integrity of the scholarly record.

Where appropriate, authors will be given an opportunity to respond to allegations or concerns before a final editorial decision is made.

Samkvidro expects authors, reviewers, and editors to uphold the principles of honesty, transparency, originality, proper attribution, confidentiality, and responsible scholarly practice.
