Submission Guidelines

Samkvidro accepts original Research Articles in accordance with the journal’s Aims & Scope, Editorial Policy, and Publication Ethics.

The journal does not publish Review Articles or Book Reviews.

1. Types of Submissions

The journal accepts:

  • Research Articles presenting original scholarly research and making a substantive contribution to the relevant field.

Manuscripts must fall within the scope of Samkvidro and demonstrate appropriate scholarly methodology, use of sources, and engagement with relevant academic literature.

2. Originality and Exclusive Submission

By submitting a manuscript to Samkvidro, the author(s) confirm that:

  • the manuscript is original scholarly work;
  • it has not been previously published in any language or format;
  • it is not currently under consideration for publication by another journal or publisher;
  • all sources, quotations, ideas, data, translations, and other materials have been appropriately acknowledged;
  • all persons who have made substantial contributions to the research and manuscript are appropriately recognized as authors, where applicable;
  • any relevant conflicts of interest have been disclosed.

A manuscript may not be submitted simultaneously to Samkvidro and another journal.

3. Manuscript Preparation

Manuscripts should be submitted as an editable Microsoft Word (.docx) file.

Authors should ensure that manuscripts are clearly structured and prepared for scholarly evaluation.

A Research Article should normally include:

  • Title
  • Abstract
  • Keywords
  • Main text
  • References
  • Tables and/or figures, where applicable
  • Funding statement, where applicable
  • Conflict of Interest statement
  • Acknowledgements, where applicable

The organization of individual articles may vary according to the discipline and nature of the research.

4. Author Information

Author information should be provided separately from the anonymized manuscript and should include:

  • Full name of each author
  • Institutional affiliation
  • Department or research unit, where applicable
  • Country
  • Institutional or professional email address
  • ORCID iD

Authors should ensure that their names, affiliations, acknowledgements, self-identifying references, and other information that could reveal their identity are removed from the manuscript submitted for anonymous peer review.

Where possible, identifying information should also be removed from the document’s file properties and metadata.

5. Abstract and Keywords

Each manuscript should include an informative abstract presenting the principal subject, research objectives, methodology or approach, main findings, and conclusions.

The abstract should be sufficiently informative to allow readers and indexing services to understand the content and scholarly contribution of the article.

Authors should provide an appropriate set of keywords reflecting the principal subjects, concepts, geographical areas, periods, sources, or methodologies addressed in the article.

6. Citations and References

All sources used in the research must be appropriately cited.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that:

  • quotations are accurately reproduced and properly referenced;
  • sources are consistently cited throughout the manuscript;
  • bibliographic information is complete and accurate;
  • all works cited in the text are included in the reference list;
  • all works listed in the references are cited in the manuscript, where applicable.

The journal’s required citation and reference style should be followed consistently.

7. Figures, Tables, and Other Materials

Figures and tables should be clearly numbered and appropriately referenced in the manuscript.

Authors are responsible for ensuring that all figures, photographs, illustrations, tables, and other third-party materials are used lawfully and that any required permissions have been obtained before publication.

Where necessary, appropriate source and rights information must be provided.

8. Double-Blind Peer Review

Samkvidro uses a double-blind peer-review process.

Authors must therefore submit an anonymized version of the manuscript for peer review.

The manuscript should not contain:

  • author names;
  • institutional affiliations;
  • acknowledgements identifying the authors;
  • identifying references such as “in my previous study…” where they unnecessarily reveal authorship;
  • other information that would reasonably disclose the identity of the author(s).

Self-citations are permitted where academically necessary, but they should be presented in a neutral manner during the anonymized review stage where possible.

9. Ethical and Academic Integrity Requirements

All submitted manuscripts must comply with the journal’s standards of academic integrity and publication ethics.

Manuscripts containing plagiarism, fabrication, falsification, substantial unattributed material, duplicate publication, inappropriate authorship, or other forms of academic misconduct may be rejected.

Submitted manuscripts may be subject to originality and plagiarism checks.

Authors are also responsible for obtaining any necessary ethical approvals, permissions, or consents relevant to their research.

10. Conflict of Interest

Authors must disclose any actual, potential, or perceived conflict of interest that could reasonably be considered relevant to the research or its publication.

If no conflict of interest exists, authors should provide an appropriate declaration to that effect.

11. Funding

All sources of financial support for the research should be disclosed.

Where applicable, authors should provide:

  • name of the funding organization;
  • grant or project number;
  • other relevant funding information.

If the research received no specific funding, an appropriate statement may be provided.

12. Submission and Editorial Process

Manuscripts should be submitted through the submission system designated by Samkvidro.

Each submission undergoes:

  1. Editorial screening
  2. Double-blind peer review
  3. Editorial decision
  4. Revision, where applicable
  5. Final acceptance
  6. Copyediting and publication

The Editor-in-Chief reserves the right to reject manuscripts at the initial screening stage if they fall outside the journal’s scope or do not meet the journal’s academic, ethical, or technical requirements.

13. Peer-Review Decisions

Following peer review, the possible editorial decisions are:

  • Accept
  • Accept with Minor Revisions
  • Revise and Resubmit
  • Reject

Authors receiving a revision request should address the reviewers’ comments carefully and provide a clear response explaining how each substantive comment has been addressed.

14. Copyright and Licensing

Copyright in published articles remains with the author(s), subject to the publication rights granted to The Manuscript Research Center in accordance with the journal’s Copyright & Licensing Policy.

Articles are freely accessible online, but free access does not constitute permission for unrestricted republication or redistribution of the full text.

Authors should review the journal’s Copyright & Licensing Policy before submission.

15. Publication Charges

Samkvidro does not charge authors any submission fee or fee for the peer-review process.

For manuscripts accepted for publication, an Article Processing Charge (APC) of USD 50 applies. The APC contributes to the costs associated with editorial processing, copyediting, digital publication, online hosting, archiving, and maintenance of the published scholarly record.

The APC is payable only after a manuscript has been formally accepted for publication. No payment is required at the time of submission or during peer review.

Payment of an APC does not influence editorial decisions, peer-review outcomes, or the academic evaluation of a manuscript. All manuscripts are assessed solely on the basis of their scholarly quality, originality, methodological rigor, relevance, and compliance with the journal’s editorial and ethical standards.

APC Waivers and Reductions

Samkvidro recognizes that publication charges may constitute a financial barrier for some researchers. Authors who are unable to pay the APC may request a full or partial waiver.

Waiver requests are considered on a case-by-case basis and should be submitted before publication. Requests are treated confidentially and are kept separate from the editorial and peer-review decision-making process.

The inability to pay an APC will not constitute grounds for rejection of a manuscript.

No additional charges are imposed for the number of pages, figures, tables, or supplementary materials unless explicitly stated in the journal’s publication-fee policy.

16. Submission Checklist

Before submitting a manuscript, authors should confirm that:

• The manuscript is a Research Article.
• The manuscript falls within the journal’s Aims & Scope.
• The work is original and has not been published elsewhere.
• The manuscript is not under consideration by another journal.
• The manuscript is submitted in editable Microsoft Word (.docx) format.
• An abstract and keywords are included.
• All sources and quotations are appropriately cited.
• References are complete and consistent.
• Figures and tables are properly prepared and referenced, where applicable.
• Required permissions for third-party materials have been obtained.
• Author-identifying information has been removed from the anonymized manuscript.
• Author information, including ORCID iD, is provided separately.
• Funding information has been disclosed, where applicable.
• Conflicts of interest have been disclosed.
• The manuscript complies with the journal’s Publication Ethics and Academic Integrity policies.
• The author(s) have reviewed the Copyright & Licensing Policy.
• The author(s) understand that the USD 50 APC is payable only after acceptance.
