Copyright & Licensing

Copyright in articles published in Samkvidro remains with the author(s), unless otherwise agreed in writing.

By submitting an article for publication, the author(s) grant The Manuscript Research Center, as the publisher and curator of Samkvidro, a non-exclusive right to publish, reproduce, distribute, archive, and make the accepted and published version of the article publicly available in electronic form through the official Samkvidro website and other authorized scholarly platforms.

Open Access and Use of Published Articles

All articles published in Samkvidro are freely and immediately accessible online without subscription or access fees.

Free access to published articles does not constitute a transfer of copyright or authorization for unrestricted republication or redistribution of the full text.

The official published version of each article, including its formatting, publication information, metadata, and DOI, constitutes the version of record and is maintained by Samkvidro.

Permitted Use

Readers and researchers may:

  • access and read published articles free of charge;
  • download articles for personal, educational, and research use;
  • cite and reference published material in accordance with accepted academic standards;
  • quote reasonable portions of an article for scholarly, educational, or other lawful purposes, provided that full and accurate bibliographic acknowledgement is given; and
  • share a direct link to the official article page on the Samkvidro website.

Restrictions on Republication and Redistribution

The full-text republication, reproduction, redistribution, or commercial dissemination of articles published in Samkvidro on third-party websites, journals, books, databases, repositories, or other platforms is not permitted without prior written authorization, except where such use is expressly permitted by applicable law.

Third parties may not reproduce or republish the complete published version of a Samkvidro article on another website or platform without permission from the copyright holder or an authorized representative.

The uploading of the journal’s official published PDF or other complete published version to third-party websites, commercial platforms, or unauthorized repositories is not permitted without prior authorization.

These restrictions do not prevent lawful quotation, citation, linking, or other uses permitted under applicable copyright law.

Authors’ Rights

Authors retain the right to:

  • use their published research for teaching, academic presentations, and research purposes;
  • cite and quote their own published work;
  • share the official Samkvidro article URL and DOI;
  • include appropriate references to the published article in their academic profiles and institutional webpages; and
  • request permission for other forms of reproduction or redistribution of their work.

Authors should not upload the final published PDF or reproduce the complete version of record on third-party platforms without the permission required under this policy.

Where an author wishes to deposit a version of the article in an institutional or subject repository, the applicable version and conditions must be agreed with Samkvidro in advance.

Attribution and Citation

Any permitted use of material published in Samkvidro must provide appropriate acknowledgement of the author(s), article title, Samkvidro, publication year, volume and issue where applicable, article or page number where applicable, and DOI.

Users are encouraged to link to the official Samkvidro article page and DOI whenever referencing or sharing a published article.

Third-Party Material

Authors are responsible for obtaining any necessary permissions for copyrighted material belonging to third parties that is incorporated into their manuscripts.

Material subject to third-party copyright or separate licensing conditions remains subject to those conditions.

Requests for Permission

Requests concerning republication, reproduction, redistribution, commercial use, translation, or other uses not expressly permitted by this policy should be submitted to The Manuscript Research Center.

Permission requests should identify the article, the intended use, the proposed medium or platform, and the nature and extent of the material to be reproduced.

Samkvidro reserves the right to determine permissions for uses that fall outside the rights expressly granted under this policy.
