The text of the collection “The Crown” compiled by Gabriel Mtsire, containing 100 patericons, has been scientifically studied and supplemented with scientific apparatus. For a thorough study of the text of “The Crown” from the copies stored in the repositories (44 copies), we used eight of the most important manuscripts, which were selected due to their antiquity, authenticity and completeness (Zsiem 23374 / s 16; A 228; A 723, A 427; S 2331; S 1389; A 3489; A; 537). At the same time, we used “The Crown”, published by Stefan (Vasil) Karbelashvili in 1892. We attached importance to this edition, since during its preparation Saint Stefan could have had at his disposal sources that have not reached us today.

The manuscript, kept under the number Zsiem 23374/s 16 of July 29, 1794, consists of 388 pages. The project was completed in 2020 and published the same year as the book.
